My industrial internship experience and some interesting findings from Linux malware analysis

Abstract:

Hongda will talk about his experience of his summer internship at Palo Alto Networks. He will also share some interesting findings from his recent research work about Linux malware analysis.

Bio:

Hongda Li is a fourth-year Ph.D. student supervised by Prof. Hongxin Hu, in the School of Computing at Clemson University. He received his M.S. in Computer Science from Clemson University and M.E. in Software Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China. He is currently a graduate research assistant in the Network and System Security Lab at School of Computing, Clemson University. His research goal is to develop a platform that can provide better protection to networks and systems utilizing emerging networking and computing technologies, such as Network Functions Virtualization, Software-defined Networking, and Deep Learning.
